Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect what we need to run your page and show you stats, we don't sell anything, and we never store your visitors' IP addresses.
What we store about you
- Account: your email, and your name and avatar if you sign in with Discord or GitHub.
- Your page: everything you add to it, like your bio, links, cards and theme.
- Integrations: the usernames or IDs you connect (Discord, Last.fm, GitHub and so on). We never ask for passwords to those services.
What we store about your visitors
When someone views your page or taps a link, we record:
- The country, based on the network they connect from.
- The site they came from, cut down to just the domain.
- Whether they're on a phone, tablet or computer.
- A visitor ID made by hashing their IP address, browser and the date with a secret key. The IP itself is thrown away, and the ID changes every day, so it can't follow anyone around.
No cookies are set for visitors of your page. Bots and link previews are ignored.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and a short lived one to remember the username you picked on the home page while you sign up. Your browser also remembers a few preferences locally, like whether UI sounds are on.
Your choices
- Edit or remove anything on your page from the dashboard.
- Delete your account in Settings. Your page, cards and analytics are deleted right away; backups roll off within 30 days.
Kids
bandz isn't for children under 13. If you think a child made an account, tell us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we change how we handle data in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it applies.
